Who or what is Roosl?

Well, Roosl is my nickname. My name is Russell. That's Marilee and me at Red Rock in Sedona, Arizona.
Who we are - What we do
Marilee and I live in southern Arizona (Paradise, I must say) near Phoenix with our 2 cats (in the yard, life used to be so hard), 
Lily and Yoda.
I am an information technology professional and consultant specializing in UNIX, Software Configuration Management (change control), and many other past doldrums I won't bore you with here. I'm also an artist of sorts, as well as a software/shareware hobbyist, offering custom Windows software and automation solutions via this site.
Marilee is a retired school teacher. Gardening, crafts and sewing (an adept seamstress, she is) are her favorite hobbies.
We really enjoy the paradise we have been blessed with in the desert Southwest USA. I love design work, exploring the mountains and desert, and really enjoy working with UNIX and client/server environments and of course, giving Marilee a hard time.
Marilee is an Illinois girl (yep, played in Peoria), and I was born in Albuquerque (I bet you can't spell it without looking it up) New Mexico, and grew up in the ole south. We spent too many years in the St. Louis, Misery area. There's a lot to do and enjoy in St. Louis, although from November through April, and from July through September you'll swear you're going to join us in a nice warm climate with less humidity.
We really enjoy animals, and in fact, flora and fauna of all kinds. My favorite wildlife support organization is the World Wildlife Fund .
