Got graphics? Need graphics? Need a custom software solution? I no longer offer design services on this site, but if you're looking for something I may have provided, you may always ask. Advertised services and posted fees have been discontinued!

Animation

If I may earn a few bucks selling my humble software offerings, good for me. Good for you, too, because most of that stuff is free. If you want custom artwork, just ask. I've done stuff for folks for free. I've also sold artwork for a couple of hundred bucks. That stuff and more is here for you to enjoy.

The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. The main thing is the 3D Gallery. Go.

Great Stuff! Custom software and FREE downloads in my Software Section.

Lots of stuff here, such as utilities, desktop automation and nice toys.

Other than some outside link banners and a few icons, all the art on these pages is original work. Explore, discover, and enjoy your time here.

Given the nature and purpose of this site...

For optimum viewing experience (of the artwork, if nothing else), high resolution is best. My stats have shown that some of my visitors still have the old 800x600 screen resolution! Are you kidding? Others are better, most at 1280x1024 and 1024x768. I like the new wide display at 1680x1050. My 3D images are rendered at 100 dpi. Unfortunately for those with low resolution, this means that even a 700x700 gallery image may not fit on your screen. However, not all the artwork is designed just for viewing online, although I do hope you are able to enjoy it.

As well, like any windows application, you may want to resize your browser so the presentation fits. I have strived to insure that the design has a good look and feel with popular browsers. If you can see the entire "T-square" at the top of this page, you're in good shape!

This is a graphic site by purpose, so if you have turned off graphics, disabled Java, JavaScript, or must have low resolution and huge fonts, go google yourself.

Java notes and news...

This site utilizes JavaScript and presents Java applets and browser functionality (such as ActiveX) utilizing such features.

Java is developed by Sun Microsystems. It is a platform-independent language designed to run on any OS. Hence, each OS must have it's own JRE in order to run Java applications. For web-based applications (applets), the OS (such as Windows) and your browser (such as Internet Explorer) need their JRE installed in order to run them.

JavaScript functionality support is built into popular browsers, and must be enabled in your browser. It requires no download (the JavaScript language was developed by Netscape).

Notices and FAQ...
Well most questions aren't frequent, but people look for "FAQ" for some reason, so here you go.

Important notes and items of interest may be posted here, as well as responses to reasonable questions or comments.

I received junk (spam) mail from roosl.com.

It appears to be from me, but it is not. That is a tactic used by idiot cowards so that you and I don't know who they really are. Please read this notice. You can see that I have no need or purpose for sending e-mail regarding those topics.

Your site doesn't display well on my laptop!

I've heard that and seen other disappointing examples on small displays or systems set with low display resolution, color depth, large fonts, etc. However, I have chosen to consider my intended audience, those with systems configured for high resolution. See the note above regarding the nature and purpose of this site.

Why don't I have a blog?

Other than an occasional blog post elsewhere and there, I do not care to sit and waste my time in chat rooms with basal brainstems whacking on keyboards.

However, I do enjoy this Laser Forum.

What contact information is available?

Here you'll find lots of Contact Information!

I've sent you e-mail but never got a response. Why?

It probably was blocked and deleted by my spam program. Go to the aforementioned Contact page. If all else fails, you can always put something in the guestbook. There is a public and a private page therein. Also, please read this notice.

Why did you cut back on your newsletter?

When I began the newsletter, and for a couple of years there, I was able to devote quite a bit of time and thought to this entire realm of creative life. I find less time for those creative hours I would like to devote to this site and the newsletter, due to various demands in my professional and personal life. I do intend to maintain the newsletter (less frequently), and spend more time developing art for the gallery and updates to the website. Besides, I rarely hear from subscribers outside of family and friends.

I'd like more information about the free newsletter before I subscribe.

Please see these copiuos Newsletter Details. You may also browse back issues, although some links and images within are broken, due to site changes since a publication.

Is it OK to use imagery from the gallery for my wallpaper?

Well, since I can hardly stop you from using your browser's "save as" function, yes. In fact, if you ask nicely, I can send you a BMP or JPG format, rendered in all its high resolution glory specifically for your screen resolution of any scene you like. Just send me an e-mail and specify which image and what resolution (such as 1680x1050, 1280x1024..). That way, you won't have to center it (and have an ugly square around it) or stretch it to fit (you'll ruin it). Please use this special mail link for your request. However...

Is it OK to copy or use my work for anything else?

No. I've gone over this with many folks. Just because your browser lets you see things on the internet doesn't mean it's OK to take, use or abuse whatever you see. You may use my artwork for your personal desktop wallpaper (and tell all your co-workers about this cool site where you found it). Any other use is copyright infringement. You did read my copyright statement, right? If you will contact me, we can discuss what it is you wish to do. In some cases, I may grant permission, depending on the use you plan to make of my work. In such cases, I will ask that you acknowledge authorship and origin, and maintain acknowledgement and a link to this website if used anywhere on the web. You may purchase a license from me to use my existing work. Any of my work published outside this website must have been purchased by the publisher, or licensed by me to be published. Much of my work may be purchased, and if you want custom original art created just for you, that is available too!
Please use this special mail link for your request. If you don't get a response, see that answer above.

What happened to the page with the animated R. Crumb and mantis?

I got rid of a lot of old junk years ago, but since I had a few inquiries about the Mantis, here is a page for some fun and animation. It includes the mantis, and a fun spider too!

Got a question? Comment? Profound revelation? Send it!
